The Marketing Gem

Imagine if you had your own marketing beacon – The Royaltie
Think of a restaurant sending out message to people passing by with 20% discount on their “Daily Specials” or a Bar informing thirsty people about their happy hour on a hot and sunny day. A club inviting clubbers to their awesome weekend DJ Event. Or a shop advertising their ongoing sale on shoes.

Now imagine of a builder placing a device in his van with a message and a link, the message being pushed via Bluetooth to every android phone within 100 yards so all the neighbors of the house he is working on can see it and instantly go to his page and learn about his work etc.

Same for an accountant when he is in the gym, his pocket size device is advertising his accountancy firm to everyone around him.

An artist taking hers to a shopping center and reaching out to hundreds of people per hour.

Or a football fan and bookmaker going to a stadium to see his favorite team play, and informing thousands of other football fans the odds on the game and how to place a bet through his website.

It’s a business owners DREAM to gain the publicity YOU crave to grow your businesses.

About the Royaltie Gem
This tiny device can be placed in your shop, your restaurant, your bar or in your pocket. You simply write a 40 character message including a link you a dedicated landing page, your social media page or your website. And it will broadcast a notification via bluetooth to every android phone within 100 yards of wherever the device is. No app is required!

Every single person promoting any business needs to have this in their pocket to start getting your business more exposure without a huge marketing budget in sight.

About Proximity Marketing
In the doing of 2015 the Norwegian telecompany NetCom  did a pilot to test the effects. When NetCom costumers was close to selected shops they received via a NetCom app a discount coupon. Almost 40% of the costumers that received a message went into the store. And as many as 50% of those who actually read the message purchased the discount offer. According to a study done by done by InMarket, consumers reached via beacons are 19 times more willing to do a purchase than those who who are not reached via beacons.

Proximity marketing is not new, it’s been around since 2009 but it never took off, as you needed to download an app to receive information from beacons that were transmitting a special offer or a message from a nearby beacon via Bluetooth technology. No app download simply meant no costumer engagement.

Until Google in 2017 decided to introduce their Google Chrome integration to all Android phones to now receive instant messages on your notifications. The message will appear in your notifications when you come within 100 yards of the beacon, but disappear from your notifications when you are more then 100 yards away from the beacon.

This technology will now become mainstream as the cost of having a beacon is now USD 25 / EUR 22 / NOK 210 / THB 850 / PHP 1270 and it works 24/7 from where you place the device or take it with you. Sending out messages directly to notifications, without any app. Saving thousands on developing your own app and having marketing costs to get consumers to download.

About the usage of Bluetooth
According to a survey done by TNS Gallup did 27% of all smartphone user have their Bluetooth permanently switched on 2014, in 2015 it had risen to 31%. 70% said that they didn’t know why they would need Bluetooth and many though that Bluetooth quickly drains the battery. The truth is that it uses under 1% of the battery capacity. And with the introduction of more products that connects our phones via Bluetooth, like cars and stereo systems, wearables like smart watches, headsets etc., the understanding and need for Bluetooth is on the rise. Some new  phones now only allows connection to a headset via Bluetooth and the Bluetooth is switched on in the factory settings.

Android vs. iPhone
Android represented in 2016 48% of the Norwegian (Thailand 74%, Philippines 81%) smartphone
market alone. To receive Royaltie messages, the phone just needs Bluetooth turned on.

This is how it the notifications comes in on the smartphone

Q & A

Isn’t this spam?
Some will no doubt think this is an amazing marketing tool, while others will think it’s outright spam. In the GEMs defense, the message itself comes through as any other notification so it does not affect the users current notification settings. Meaning, it does not vibrate or make a noise unless the user has this set for all notifications. If the user has the notification settings switched on, he or she has already accepted notifications to the phone.

Does the GEM track or collect and save any personal information from the smart phones?
No, the GEM only sends out a message within a 100 meters radius. It does not receive information.

The way the Royaltie Gem is marketed looks like Multi-level marketing (MLM)?
Yes, this is MLM. As an affiliate, you earn on the sales you make to customers yourself, but also based on the sales volume of those in your downline. With Royaltie Gem affiliate program it’s just a two-level downline.

We first fell in love with the product and the concept, and thinks it’s a brilliant marketing toy for small and midsize businesses. It was when we were approached by others that we started looking into the affiliate program. This is the way the Royaltie Gem is spreading globally, whether you like MLM or not. (We would probably do the same as a small business with limited resources, if we had a product we wanted to get quickly out in big volum).

Is this something I can and should promote?
If you’re not sure if you should promote and sell it, we suggest maybe to try the product first to see how it works. Use it in your own business or a friends and measure your results. Also get feedback from customers to see how they feel about it. If you see results, at least you can promote the concept and the product knowing it’s legit and worth the money.

And with all new concepts and products, do your own online research before you make up your mind.
